Notification:
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the URL change from VHQPILOT.US3.VFIVCS.COM to VHQ.US3.VFIVCS.COM is being rescheduled to Oct 23, 2018 instead of Oct 17 as originally planned. See updated notification along with the IP address, below.
Verifone hosted VHQ currently at VHQPILOT.US3.VFIVCS.COM for User Interface will undergo a URL update on October 23, 2018 from 1:00 AM EDT until 2:00 AM EDT. The new URL will be VHQ.US3.VFIVCS.COM.
As part of Verifone’s initiative to mitigate an industry decision to distrust Symantec SSL/TLS certificates (refer to Distrust Information below for more details), Verifone HQ will be implementing a new URL and IP addresses with new certificates that no longer utilize Symantec SSL/TLS distrusted certificates. The new URL and IP addresses are shown below:
- New URL – https://vhq.us3.vfivcs.com. Current URL is https://vhqpilot.us3.vfivcs.com
- New IP address after the change: 192.131.0.152. Current IP address: 192.131.0.159
To prevent any disruption to device communication with the VHQ server, the URL for device-server communication will remain the same as below:
- https://vhqpilot.us3.vfivcs.com/messagingserver/messagehandler.asmx
No changes will be required for devices at this time and they will continue to work with their current configurations.
ACTION REQUIRED: If you have whitelisted VHQ URL and/or IP addresses (to be communicated later) on your firewalls you should now add the new URL/IP addresses above to the whitelist to allow access to VHQ. Please continue to keep the old URL and IP addresses whitelisted to allow proper device communication.
To minimize the impact to users accessing VHQ, all website traffic for vhqpilot.us3.vfivcs.com will be re-directed to the new URL vhq.us3.vfivcs.com, as part of this change.

Due to the nature of the upgrade we would like to request users to refrain from performing the following actions during the upgrade window:
- Log on to the environment through the user interface
- Schedule download / diagnostic jobs
- Invoke any API calls
Distrust Information:
Browser providers will start distrusting Symantec SSL/TLS certificates and companies owned by Symantec including Thawte, Verisign, Equifax, GeoTrust and RapidSSL at different times. Below are the available links to browser specific communications:
Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox already started issuing warnings regarding distrusting Symantec SSL/TLS certificates on their respective browsers.
