Learn how to manually or by file import add IP ranges, delete IP ranges and enable source IP validations for GUI client/device.
The source IP validation feature allows you to validate device within the range of specified IP addresses. The feature offers enhanced security on user and device access to the VHQ. You can filter the incoming IP address and allow connections that fall under the defined IP range for the Device or for the user (GUI Client).
To Add Source IP ranges for validation:
Go to Administration > Estate Administration > Source IP Validation.
You can perform multiple functions with source IP validation. You can Add IP Ranges, Add IP Ranges through File Import, Add IP Ranges Manually, Enable Source IP validation for GUI client and Enable Source IP validation for the Device.
You can add IP ranges to the device.
To add IP ranges:

You can add the IP range using .csv file. The add IP range .csv file has the following columns.

You can add IP ranges to the device manually.
To add IP ranges manually:

Selecting Yes on deletion of IP range will disable Source IP Validation feature.
This allows user to access the VHQ GUI if the user logs in within the specified IP ranges. However, if the user tries to log in from outside of these specified IP ranges, the user cannot log into the VHQ GUI. Check the box to enable the functionality.
This feature verifies the devices which are trying to connect to VHQ. VHQ allows connection to the devices whose IP addresses are within the specified IP range. However, if the contacting device’s IP address, does not fall under the defined IP ranges the device access is denied. Check the box to enable the functionality.
