Managing License Expiry

The license expiry feature allows users to manage the validity of VHQ software for a particular customer. The customer selects a required period for which the VHQ software validity as part of licensing is needed. Once the license date is elapsed VHQ software gets expired for the customer. The License feature and module information is displayed in Administration > License Details tab.
License Details

The users are notified about license expiry in the form of e-mail. And also each time the user logs in, VHQ checks and notify user about the license expiry. On license expiration, the user cannot log in to UI.

As a part of the enhancement, a new configuration License Expiry Email Notification is added to specify the duration in days before which user would like to be notified about license expiration warning messages via e-mail or through UI. The user can configure value to the License Expiry Email Notification in Administration > Estate Administration > System Configuration > System. The default value is set to 30 days indicating 30 days prior to actual license expiration user wants to be notified; however, it can be set to any value from 1 to 1800.

Based on the configured value the user is notified prior to the license expiry. Apart from the notification, an e-mail reminder is sent to the admin user on daily basis indicating the number of days remaining for the license to expire. On license expiry, the user contacts the support team. The support team helps the user to upgrade the license expiry.
