Filter

You can quickly and easily work with the data in a range of columns by using the filtering option. Filtering data displays only the data that meet criteria.

  1. Click to filter the individual columns. Click a Column Header to sort the data in ascending or descending order.
  2. Enter in the values and click GO. You can also reset values as when required.

 The following wildcard characters can be used for text filters.

Characters

Description

? (Question mark)

Any single character.

Example: sm?th finds “smith”, “smyth”

* (Asterisk)

Any number of characters.

Example: *east finds “Northeast”, “Southeast”

~ (tilde) followed by? *, ~

A question mark, asterisk, or tilde.

Example: fy06~? Finds “fy06?”

NOTE: You can sort or filter the data across the various columns; however, this feature is disabled when dynamic columns are added. Based on the search made, a certain number of columns get added to the existing column grid. These newly added columns do not allow sorting or filtering of the data.
